The National Committee for Maternal and Neonatal Health (NCMNH) is a body that advises on Policy and Technical matters for Safe Motherhood and Prevention of Maternal and Neonatal deaths and disabilities. It also advocates for and demonstrates workable approaches for the same.

Trainer, PPFP, Karachi

NCMNH is looking for a female Trainer for its PPFP intervention.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Training:

  • Capacity building of maternity care providers (Doctors, Midwives, LHVs) in providing family planning counselling and services
  • Assist/conduct Training of the Trainers & Inter Personal Communication Officers (IPCOs)
  • Assist in developing, modifying and updating training curriculum and/or content and materials
  • Prepare and submit training schedule/planner on monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Ensure timely certification of SBAs after training.
  • Monitor clinical trainers for certification of maternity care providers.
  • Willing to travel and conduct training sessions in other provinces of Pakistan.
  • Any other task assigned by the supervisor.

Supervision: 

  • Supervise the IPCOs
  • Closely coordinate with the assigned IPCOs to the health facility for performance improvement
  • Analyze the monthly data and performance of hospitals and the field team. Closely coordinate with the IPCOs/NCs of the facility for performance improvement and also to address the challenges and overcoming them.

Reporting:

  • Organize and document monthly /quarterly progress update meetings with Skilled Birth Attendants (SBAs) and Department Heads.

Public Relations:

  • Develop liaison with hospital management/ Department Heads and In-charge Reproductive Health Services (RHS) centers for smooth implementation of program activities.
  • Willing to travel to field, if needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Minimum qualification MBBS with valid PMDC registration
  • Experience in training maternity care providers at all levels
  • Experience in providing counselling and services for family planning
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficient in Computer skills
  • Able to communicate in Urdu and English. Skills in Sindhi language would be an added advantage.
