Our Role
Advisory
NCMNH provides technical assistance to the government at the federal & provincial levels in policy making, planning, reviewing of documents, implementing and monitoring of programs and activities directed at improving women’s and newborns health.
Advocacy
NCMNH advises and engages in advocacy with policymakers at the District, Provincial and National levels. Through advocacy and communication projects, it informs people about population, health and development issues and empowers them to use that information to advance the well being of current and future generations.
Situation Analysis
From time to time, NCMNH carries out Research and Studies on public health issues particularly Maternal Health using the in house and external expertise.
Technical
NCMNH is a resource center and provides assistance to projects and programs directed at averting maternal and newborn death and disability.
Capacity Building
One of the major strength of NCMNH is capacity building and training. NCMNH works towards improving and enhancing the quality of services given by health care providers in public and private sectors.
Partners
NCMNH believes in developing a network of partners. Some of its partners are the Departments of Health, Population Welfare & Development, Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Pakistan (SOGP), Midwifery Association of Pakistan, Pakistan Medical Association (PMA), Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC) and Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC), Academic Institutions and National & International Organizations.
