National Committee for Maternal and Neonatal Health in collaboration with Gynuity Health Projects; New York, organized a seminar on 13 September, 2018 at the Pearl Continental Hotel – Karachi, to disseminate the results of a pre and post intervention research study that was conducted to determine the impact of advance distribution of misoprostol to women and their families, to timely address perceived heavy bleeding for home births.

NCMNH shared a post study conceptual plan to utilize the results of the study in another district of Sindh with available resources, to ensure practicality of the model before making any recommendations to health authorities.

The seminar was attended by Health professionals from Planning and Policy making cells, Health Commission, Academia, Professional Organizations, and National and International organizations. Dr. Mubeen Memon, Director General Health, chaired the seminar.
